Affiliate Disclosure

We want to be upfront about how Gear'd makes money.

Some links are affiliate links

Some of the links on Gear'd are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something from a partner retailer, Gear'd may earn a small commission — at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate partnerships never determine recommendations

This is important: our recommendation engine does not consider commission rates. Products are recommended based on your trip details, preferences, fit, brand preferences, and the engine's compatibility scoring — not on what pays us the most.

We also let you rank your preferred retailers on your Profile, so the "Shop" link points to the retailer you actually want to buy from whenever possible.

Why affiliate revenue matters

Affiliate revenue helps fund the ongoing development of Gear'd — better recommendations, more activities, improved planning tools, and keeping the core experience free for adventurers.

You're always in control

You can purchase any recommended product wherever you prefer, including directly from the brand. Use Gear'd as a planning companion; buy from whoever earns your trust.
